School Bus Safety

 

The CHP helps protect student safety through its school bus program. The program includes an array of tests for bus drives, a background investigation, health qualifications, interview with CHP officers. All buses are inspected annually by the CHP to ensure the buses meet safety standards. In addition, mechanics perform comprehensive inspections every 45 days or 3,000 miles.
